How to Move On After a Break UpIt can be a very painful time in your life following a break up, especially if you were the one that got dumped.  Learning how to move on after a break up can be a real challenge.  How do you go from loving someone so deeply one day to practically nothing the next day?

If the relationship is over without a doubt, and there is no way to fix things, here are a few tips that will show you how to move on after a break up:

Discover What You MUST

Do After a Break Up

How to Move On After a Break Up – get rid of everything that reminds you of your ex.

Throw out all those photographs of the two of you together and any gifts that she may have given you.  It can be very difficult to do this, and I understand if you can’t really bear to throw everything out.  If that’s the case, at least store it somewhere that you won’t see it for a few months while you are healing.

If any of her clothes or other personal items are still left at your place, pack those up and either mail them to her or have someone you trust give them to her.  Try to avoid seeing her in person when you do this, since that can sometimes reopen all the old wounds of the break up.

How to Move On After a Break Up – let yourself feel sad about the loss of your relationship.

Some people will tell you that men shouldn’t cry over a girl.  Don’t listen to them.  You’ve just experienced a major loss in your life and it is healthy to express feelings of sadness.  Find some time when you can be alone and allow yourself to feel any emotions you might feel whether they are sadness, anger, frustration, or anything else.

If you try to bottle up your feelings,  you are only going to create more problems down the road.  Let yourself release these emotions so you can move on with your life.

How to Move On After a Break Up – rebuild your social network.

If you are anything like me, you may have let some of your friendships suffer while you were in your relationship.  Now is a great time to reconnect with all of those people you’ve lost touch with or you haven’t spent much time with lately.

Your friends are a great resource, especially when you are feeling down about things.  Nothing can be better than meeting up with an old friend from school and sharing some good memories from the past.  Your friends will help take your mind off of your break up and help you feel better about yourself.

So, make the effort to reach out to your friends.  Not only will they be there for you when you feel sad and lonely, but they will also keep you busy and help you learn to enjoy life again.

That is how to move on after a break up.  You need to deal with anything that reminds you of your ex, express your emotions freely, and also rely on your friends to helps support you in this difficult time.  I know that break ups can be tough, but always remember that time will heal the pain you are going through.
